Position: Marketing Projects Manager

Reporting To: Jennifer Meighan, Director of Worldwide

Position Description:
This individual will help research and develop a complete
set of product marketing/marcom plans for technology, applications and
possibly services which leverage Andromedia's core strengths. The marketing
project manager will work closely with engineering, sales and marketing
to manage the launch and develop the overall business for these products.
Projects will focus on research, competitive positioning,
creating and managing a reference library, participating in newsgroups
and associations, identifying key issues which Andromedia needs to address
in marcom materials and product solutions, and Intranet and web marketing
research.
Skills required:
Technical background and comfort with technical issues
highly desired. Strong program management and organizational skills. Ability
to "dive in" and learn quickly. Excellent research, editing and
writing skills. Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal
skills, and experience managing outside resources required. Needs to be
proactive, motivated and able to prioritize and manage several projects
at a time. Excellent presentation skills. Cooperative leadership encouraged.
Professional Experience Required:
At least 3+ years product marketing/research experience
in the software industry required. 2-3 product launch cycles desired. Experience
with PR, and events a plus. Experience with competitive analysis projects
and active industry participation required. Sales skills a plus. Current
knowledge of the Internet market and Java required.

Education: BA or equivalent.
